William (Bill) Cooper, CGA, LLB
With thirty years of tax and financial experience starting as a financial analyst and controller with a large multi-national forest products company, the last twenty-five of those years as a tax lawyer, Bill has worked on a wide array of tax driven business problems ranging from estate plans for the owner/manager to large multi-national cross-border corporate restructurings. Bill has also worked as an advisor at the most senior levels of Canada Revenue Agency and the Department of Finance in Ottawa. Deborah E. Graystone, BSc, TEP, CGA
Deborah is a tax principal with MacKay LLP, Chartered Accountants, in Vancouver, B.C. Her career in taxation started over 15 years ago when she joined the tax group of an international accounting firm. Deborah is a frequent lecturer and author for CGA-BC and CGA Canada professional studies (Taxation 2) and professional development programs. Her experience covers virtually all areas of personal, corporate and estate taxation, but her main focus is business succession and estate planning. She works closely with many business owners, entrepreneurs, financial advisors and their clients. In addition to her CGA designation, Deborah is a professional trust and estate practitioner and has completed all levels of the CICA In-depth tax course (DeborahGraystone@van.mackayllp.ca).
