Our Webinar series (based on Executive TaxBriefs) is an ideal vehicle to keep you up to date. Covering all relevant tax updates from the previous month, our Monthly Webinar provides real time Q&A to ensure a thorough understanding of all things tax.

In addition, at 2 hours a month, it will be easy to accumulate your verifiable professional development hours. If you miss the Webinar, you can obtain your PD hours by viewing the webinar recording on your own time on any web enabled device.

Sessions are scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of every month 10am PDT. (Unless otherwise notified)

GotoMeeting Troubleshooting

Subscribers can join the session by entering the meeting ID they receive through email at Should you be disconnected from the session for any reason you can simply follow the steps above to rejoin, or open GoToMeeting and enter the meeting number.

To join the webinar (up to 15 minutes prior to start):

  4. GoToMeeting will automatically download for first time users

Webinar Recordings Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing difficulty streaming video on our Recorded Webinars Page please see the following checklist :

  1. Active X allowed. This prompt will appear as a yellow bar at the top of the window in Internet Explorer, or a popup box in Firefox and most other browsers.
  2. Windows Media 9 or higher installed.
  3. GotoMeeting codec installed. This will already be installed if you have used GotoMeeting or participated in a Webinar.

Lunch and Learn Troubleshooting

  1. How does our firm use TaxMentor’s monthly-recorded tax update webinar to facilitate a lunch and learn and earn verifiable PD hours?
    • If you are not currently a subscriber, sign up for a 30-day free trial to gain access to the website.

      *PD hours accumulate on paid subscriptions only. Expired or comp/trial subscriptions do not qualify for verifiable PD hours until payment is received.
    • Subscriber’s head to the TAXBRIEFS tab, click on the webinar link below the most recent month.
    • The video is broken up into chapters allowing you skip to the news item that are most important to you and your firm. We highlight the most important news item each month with an *, you can play the news items then pause and open up the floor to discussion. News items can be played, skipped, re-played and paused just like a traditional DVD.
    • You can print and make copies of the pdf newsletter for all members of your staff at no extra charge.
    • Keep attendance on a sign in sheet and report the time on the CPA website to earn PD credits for all in attendance.
    • There is no extra fee for copying the newsletter or group viewing of the webinar; one subscription per office is all you need. This offer does not apply to firms with multiple office locations – every separate location within the firm must maintain their own subscription.
  2. We use another monthly tax update service, why would we change?
    • Other services are far more expensive for the same application, TaxMentor does not charge for copying the newsletter or for multiple viewers of the webinar.
